The purpose of our Privacy Policy

Settled Design Ltd takes its responsibility seriously, regarding the privacy and security of your information / data.

As part of our business we collect/gather and use information about you and to help manage our relationship with you.

We will be clear and transparent regarding any information we collect, and as to what we will do with that information, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

 

What information we collect

Settled Design Ltd will be what is known as the “Controller” of the personal data / information you provide to ourselves. We only collect basic personal data, which does not include any special categories of personal information about you (known as Special Category Data). The information we collect covers name, address, e-mail, telephone number, financial information (such as bank details for payment of services) and other information relevant to offers and/or customer surveys.

 

Why we need this information

Your basic personal data is required in order to provide goods and services to you and/ or to process your orders, provide marketing and information on our services / products. We do not collect any personal data other than which enables ourselves to provide and oversee our services or products.

 

What we do with this information

We only use your personal information when necessary and always with your consent:

  • for our own (or a third party’s) lawful interests, provided your rights do not override these.

Where we store this information

We are UK based and store our data within the EU. Organisations which provide services to ourselves may occasionally transfer personal data outside of the EU, only if your data is adequately protected will we allow them to do so.

 

How long we keep your information 

We use and store information for as long as it is required for the purposes it was collected for. The length of time information is stored depends upon what it is being used for. For example, we will stop storing your e-mails for marketing purposes, if you ask us not to send you marketing e-mails, however we will keep a record of your preference not to be e-mailed.

Information which is no longer required is deleted and we continually review what is required. We never store payment card data and will not retain your information for longer than necessary. The maximum period we will hold your data is six years.

 

Sharing of your personal information

Your personal information will be shared with other organisations to carry out our obligations under our contract with yourself or for our legitimate interests.

If required or permitted to do so by law, we will share your personal information; If required to do so by any court, or any applicable regulatory, compliance, governmental or law enforcement agency; or if required in connection with legal proceedings or potential legal proceedings.

We do not send your personal data outside the European Economic Area. You will be notified of any changes to this and of the protections will be explained which are in place to protect your information.

We would like to use your name and e-mail address to inform yourself of our offers and similar products. This information will not be shared with third parties and you can at any time unsubscribe via our website, phone or e-mail.

 

How our website uses cookies

When you access our website, a small file or 'cookie' requests permission to be placed on your computer’s hard drive. The cookie then helps analyse web traffic or lets you know when you visit a particular site. Cookies enable web applications to respond to you individually, enabling the web application to tailor it's operations to your needs and preferences by recalling upon the information gathered.

We identify which pages are being used, by traffic log cookies. This enables analysis of webpage traffic data, improving our website to tailor towards customer requirements. This information is purely for statistical analysis purposes following which it is removed from the system.

By enabling ourselves to analyse which pages you find useful and which you do not, cookies help us provide you with a better website. Cookies do not enable access to your computer or any information about you, and purely collect the data you have chosen to share with us. To remain in control of your personal data. it is required you understand your legal rights.

You also have the right to object where we are processing your personal information for direct marketing purposes.

  • Request the restriction of processing of your personal information. This enables you to ask us to suspend the processing of personal information about you, for example if you want us to establish its accuracy or the reason for processing it.

  • Request transfer of your personal information in an electronic and structured form to you or to another party (commonly known as a right to “data portability”). This enables you to take your data from us in an electronically useable format and to be able to transfer your data to another party in an electronically useable format.

  • Withdraw consent. In the limited circumstances where you may have provided your consent to the collection, processing and transfer of your personal information for a specific purpose, you have the right to withdraw your consent for that specific processing at any time. Once we have received notification that you have withdrawn your consent, we will no longer process your information for the purpose or purposes you originally agreed to, unless we have another legitimate basis for doing so in law.
